The Impact of World War Two

Spring 1942 - over 100,000 Japanese Americans were removed from their homes to relocation camps in bleak parts of the USA - a third were ISSEI - foreign Japanese two thirds were NISSEI American born Japanese.
19th February 1942 - FDR authorised movement of Japanese Americans to internment camps
- Nissei forced to sell almost all their belongings - property was vandalized and illegally siezed - Nissei lost
