Why did the Reds win the civil war?

1) Reds had a fantastic leader - Trotsky organised his army well.

2)
Whites not organised into single army. They attacked separately therefore easy to defeat.

3)
Reds had the geographical advantage - they controlled the central area which had the main cities, industries and railways. Therefore could supply and move troops easily.

4) Using war communism ensured that
all resources diverted to the army.

5) Whites had support of allies therefore reds had more support amongst population as they were seen as more patriotic.

6)
The whites scattered over huge area and found it difficult to keep in contact.
