The Treaty of Versailles helping the Nazis - there were many reasons why the Treaty of Versailles led to people hating Weimar - The Stab in the back, the traitors of 1919 and Cash, Land, Army and War.
However by 1929 the Weimar Republic had appeared to overcome the problems of the Treaty of Versailles and therefore there must be other reasons for the rise of the Nazis.
The Wall Street Crash - in any question about the rise of the Nazis you must mention the Wall Street Crash and the fact that it led to 6 million being unemployed. Also it showed the weaknesses of the constitution, that coallition governments could not deal with the problems and that this led to growing support for the Nazis.
Increasing fear of the communists - the middle classes turned to the Nazis as they became afraid of the growing support for the Communists.
The Weaknesses of the Weimar constitution - the failure of proportional representation, coallition governments led to support for Hitler as people wanted a strong leader.
The Strength of Hitler - he gained popularity for his speeches and was seen to be an effective leader. Nazi propaganda and organisation was also strong.
